Kanomama wa hatsukoi no hito - Chapter 2-1

Chapter 2: Unquenchable Thirst—The Forbidden Love Between Kano-mama And The Boyfriend - 1

That day—the day he met his first love again.

Urusuke fled from the room, leaving behind the ragged sound of his own breathing.

He sent Hanao a message, apologizing for leaving before she went home. She must have thought it uncomfortable to stay alone with an adult he’d only just met. Her reply, however, was filled more with guilt than reproach—and that only deepened Urusuke’s own sense of remorse.

Dammit… I really went and did it, didn’t I…

He lost control of himself.

It was almost like rape—he knew Sae’s restraint, and yet he’d deliberately pushed her past it.

Everything he’d been holding back for years, Urusuke released onto her without even the semblance of words.

And the worst part was… it had been incredible. The pleasure he’d felt that day, five years ago—it seemed it hadn’t just been the illusion of a first time.

“At this rate… this isn’t good.”

Obviously. Who in their right mind goes to meet their girlfriend’s mother… and ends up raping her?

Whether that’s lucky or not, today is a day Urusuke doesn’t have to go to school.

“I should apologize… at least for now.”

No matter what. Even if forgiveness wasn’t forthcoming, it wouldn’t be surprising—that would come later.

He hauled his heavy body up from the bed.

These were potential marriage candidates, carefully chosen by my father. Some had volunteered to become candidates in order to gain something from my father’s company, while others were recommended to strengthen connections between companies. There were various reasons, but I had to marry one of them and bear a child. That was my purpose in this household. I don’t think I could ever love someone. How is it that others can believe in something without form, something like love? I can’t help but wonder. The reason I can't do what the general public seems able to do, is it because I’ve never truly been loved? I set aside the endless, unanswered questions that I had been asking myself since I was born ...
